Mauro Beccari's experience: The Comacchio brand on tomato puree

Here are some excerpts from the beautiful article that appeared in "La Nuova" of 9/11/2016 (see pdf at the link above).

"Not just the eel. Now even the past arrives on the market with the brand "Comacchio"... The idea came from Mauro Beccari, a farmer from Como, owner of the homonymous farm in the valleys of the Mezzano... mezzano supplies large quantities of tomatoes to the most prominent Italian brands... I wanted to do an experiment - explains Mauro Beccari -, since the tomato puree prepared at home by my wife Martina with inostri datterini, was successful among neighbors and relatives.I thought it was time to read comacchio tomato puree labels instead of the name of big commercial brands. Beccari decides to transport 1500 kg of his freshly harvested datterini tomatoes to the "La Pietra Scartata" laboratory.... The guys who work in the laboratory - underlines Beccari - are prepared and very good. In 6 hours they delivered me the 3 thousand jars of the first experimental batch of tomato puree that I can now sell directly on my farm ..."
